Basic Pecan Pie
1 c. sugar
1/2 c. white syrup
1/4 c. margarine, melted
3 eggs, well beaten
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla
1 pkg. pecan pieces
2 unbaked pie shells
Combine sugar, syrup and margarine. Add beaten eggs, salt, vanilla and nut pieces. Pour into pie shells and bake at 370 degrees for 35 to 40 minutes.
Makes 2 (9") pies
