1 tbsp. gelatin 1/4 c. cold water 3 egg yolks 1/4 tsp. salt 1/2 c. sugar 1 c. milk, scalded 1 tsp. vanilla 3 egg whites, stiffly beaten 1 c. heavy cream, whipped
Soften gelatin in cold water. Combine egg yolks, sugar and salt. Add milk slowly. Cook in double boiler until a little thick. Add gelatin - stir. Cool and add vanilla. Fold in egg whites and cream. Pour into chocolate crumb pie shell. Top with 1/4 cup chocolate crumbs.
